Job Title: Kindergarten Teacher
Job Duties
Responsible to teach and guide the growth of Kindergarten children who came from diversified cultures. Use professional Montessori teaching method to teach kindergarten level students. Prepare the learning environment, plan and design lessons, curriculum and coordinate classroom activities with school-wide activities. Introduce children to life skills, math, language, science, music, cultural studies, and social studies to foster children’s cognitive, social emotional and physical growth. Design and prepare activities to develop students’ concentration, persistence and orderly work habits as well as foster independence for self-learning. Stimulate students to become active participants in the learning process based on knowledge of children’s developmental stages and consistent observation. Create lesson plans for the use of games, music, artwork and traditional Montessori materials and teaching technology to stimulate students’ love of learning and creativity. Observe and evaluate students’ performance and potential of development and achievement. Communicate with the parents of eachstudent the progress of their child. Answer any questions that the parents may have regarding their children in the context of Montessori Philosophy and classroom practice. Participate in parent education. Contribute to school’s newsletter by reporting on classroom curriculum, and preparing progress reports of children at the end of school year.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field, Montessori early childhood courses, and 24 months early childhood teaching experience.
